Self Portrait: Collage
For Art this term, Room 25 has been creating their Self Portraits using the technique of collage.
To create our Self Portraits we first drew the outline of our faces. We then collaged our backgrounds using coloured paper. Next, we selected our skin colour and then collaged our face, neck and ears. Then, we used pieces of paper that matched our hair colour to collage our hair. We then collaged our T-shirts using old magazines. Finally, we used vivid to create the outline of our faces and draw our lips, eyes, eyelashes, mouth and eyebrows. Our last step was to use coloured pencil to add detail to our eyes and lips.
We are very proud of our collages!
Here are some photos of the steps we are following.

Painted Rocks for the Garden
Painted Rocks for EPS' Garden
Over Term 1, Room 25 has been working hard to paint and beautifully decorate some rocks to go into the garden. Each Room 25 student is painting/decorating a rock. Many classes and year levels around the school will be doing this too.
To create our painted rocks, we first looked at different images of leaves. Next, we drew and gathered some ideas of different patterns and outlines that leaves have. Then, we did lots of practising of the leaves we wanted to paint onto our rocks. After this, we then painted our base colour and then our leaves onto our rocks. We had to be super careful! Finally, we used black vivid to outline and add details.
Here is a photo of some of our finished rocks.
